Founder
Sara Bornick never forgot what a frozen treat on a hot summer day felt like as a kid. Pure joy. She just knew it could be made better.
She started her career in graphic design, but her passion for food pulled her to the Midwest Culinary Institute, where she began developing specialty ice cream recipes for friends and family. She traveled Europe, picking up new ingredients and flavor combinations along the way. Then a small pop shop in North Carolina clicked everything into place. Eventually, an idea clicked, and she came home with a clear conviction.
She came home with a clear conviction. Bring back that summer joy. Keep the nostalgia. Lose the artificial additives. Make something parents feel good about handing to their kids.
Streetpops launched at a single community event in Cincinnati in 2011. The city showed up and never really left.
That is what you are bringing home.
